» What is Fraud?

It seems that weekly the media report another incident of fraud. Enron, Health South, Parmalat, WorldCom are among the many examples of recognized businesses that have been destroyed or tainted by fraud.

It does not end there.

Stories of business owners and employees who compromised their fiduciary responsibilities and position of authority in municipal governments, local retail establishments and professional offices fill the tabloids. In many cases these establishments had codes of conduct and hotlines to management in an effort to curb abuses.

Yet, in the end they still had fraud.

Fraudsters prey on the elderly and the uninformed stealing savings, assets and identities. Fraudsters have become more sophisticated in their schemes using the internet, telephone and mail to further their fraudulent activities.
